Born in Brooklyn, she resided there for most of her life before settling in Berkeley 16 years ago.
Diane was a personal banker at Ocean First Bank in Toms River for 16 years. Prior to Ocean First, she worked at Astoria Federal Bank in Brooklyn for 15 years.
Diane was the most selfless person one could ever meet. Putting everyone before herself, she cherished her time with her family. She loved taking her family to the "Broadwalk" and the waterpark. She also loved watching her grandchildren play sports and was their biggest fan. She was truly an angel.
She was predeceased by her parents, James, Sr. and Dolores DeGaetano; her brother, Jimmy DeGaetano; and her brother-in-law, Vincent Perrotta.
Surviving are her loving husband of 51 and-a-half years, Sal, Sr.; her children: Dawn Marie Ottomanelli and her husband Vincent, and her son, Sal, Jr. and his wife Cathy; her grandchildren: Michael, Deanna, Breanna, Samantha, Olivia, and Nicholas; and her sisters-in-law: Margaret DeGaetano and GraceAnn Perrotta.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 2-5 & 7-9PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 11:30AM at St. Joseph RC Church, Toms River. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Diane's name to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org.
