Deedee was born on Aug. 10, 1968 in Neptune, NJ to Carl Anderson and Dianne Nungesser. Her love of animals began at a young age. As a child, she was involved in a local 4H program with her horses, where she competed in barrel racing and pole bending competitions. She won countless awards in qualifying rounds and was the Grand Champion in the Monmouth County Fair tournaments.
Deedee graduated from Ocean Township High School in 1986. She worked as a nail technician in a salon, before landing a job as a sales assistant at Dean Witter.
In 1993, she married Michael Napoliello, who she met on a blind date two years earlier. In their 30 years of marriage, Deedee and Michael had two children: Christopher and Jenna. Being a loving wife and mother was one of her greatest joys in life.
Deedee loved to travel. One of her favorite places to visit was St. John, USVI — her home away from home — where you could find her sitting on a beach with a Painkiller (drink) and a good Kenny Chesney playlist. She also enjoyed meditation and yoga — and even became a certified yoga instructor in 2021.
Deedee will be remembered for her incredibly big heart, selfless personality, and captivating smile. Her everlasting devotion to her family and friends (a.k.a her “love bubble”) was unmatched. She always had a smile on her face and never failed to look at the positive side of things.
Deedee is predeceased by her father, Carl Anderson. She is survived by her husband, Michael; children Christopher and Jenna; “honorary” daughter-in-law Monica Canhoto; mother, Dianne Nungesser; stepfather, Thomas Nungesser; stepmother, Barbara Anderson; brothers Steven Nungesser and Carl Anderson; sister-in-law, Kathleen Nungesser; niece and nephew, Samantha and Robbie Nungesser; aunt, Penny Jones; brothers-in-law Richard Napoliello and family, Jimmy Napoliello, Robert Napoliello and sister-in-law, Laura Napoliello-Brenner.
Family and friends will be gathering on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 4-8pm at the Anderson and Campbell Funeral, 703 Main Street in Toms River.
In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that you make a donation in Deedee’s name to the Animal Care Center of St. John, as per her request. https://www.stjohnanimalcarecenter.com/
