Carmen Peter DeCaro Jr., 66, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. He was born in Plainfield, NJ to the late Carmen and Sylvia DeCaro.
Pete is survived by his loving wife Margot DeCaro of 18 years; two daughters, Karla Fonseca and Crystal DeCaro; a son Anthony DeCaro, his sister Candace Lynch; nephew Chris Murzdeck and lifelong friend and nephew James Murzdeck and George Van Horn.
Pete was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family on his boat and kayaking in Barnegat Bay. He also loved bicycling in his favorite parks and watching the sunset on the boardwalk with his family beside him. He was a handyman of all trades and loved making things. Pete was previously employed by TDX Quality as a Project Superintendent on multiple projects on Joint Base McGuire Dix in Lakehurst. Pete will truly be missed by all.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 2pm to 5 pm with a funeral service at 4:30 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. Cremation will be private.
