Barbara Ann Carter

Reeves in Burlington, KY, Barbara had lived in Kentucky before moving to Toms River, NJ with her parents

and sister, Janice Vick, in 1960. Barbara graduated from Toms River High School in 1962 and prior to her

retirement, she worked as a bookkeeper for local businesses in Ocean County.

Barbara had a vibrant personality and would often meet challenges with a smile and a song. She had a

love of music and sang in several choirs, including the Garden State Chorus during the 1980’s-1990’s.

She was active in her church and was always involved with family activities.

Barbara is predeceased by her parents, and is survived by her sister, along with Barbara’s five children,

Carol Carter, Joseph Carter, David Carter, Becky Fullerton, and Michael Carter, 13 grandchildren, and 13

great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021, 4-8 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule

Road, Toms River, NJ. A Funeral Service will be celebrated Friday, July 16, 2021, 10 am, at the funeral

home and interment will follow at the Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River. Online condolences
