Anna May Schultz, 97, of Toms River passed away at Home on Friday, July 26, 2013, with her loving daughter and her special cat beside her. Born in Philadelphia in 1915, she soon moved to Toms River becoming a long time resident. Anna May retired from The Ocean County Board of Elections as a supervisor. She was a proud member of the Ming Twig, which helped raise money to build Community Memorial Hospital. Later she worked as a volunteer there. Anna May loved to garden and go looking for antiques. She was a supporter of the Humane Society and loved animals of all kinds. For many years she was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Toms River.
Mrs. Schultz was predeceased by her parents Estelle and Thomas McCandless, her beloved husband Julius and her daughter June Ann Fischer. She was the last of four siblings. Anna May is survived by her loving daughter Diane Schultz.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery, Old Freehold Rd., Toms River. Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home in Toms River is in charge of arrangements.
