Alfreda (Pat) Fry of Toms River passed away on October 20, 2019 at age 90. She was born on September 11, 1929 in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, and had lived in Colonia NJ before moving to Wayne NJ for 30 years, finally settling in Toms River in 1994.
First and foremost, Pat was a dedicated mother. She was especially proud of her four daughters and families. Early on, Pat worked as a laboratory technician at Rahway General Hospital. She was an active member of the Wayne Elks Club Ladies Auxiliary and Toms River YMCA. Pat was fortunate to have traveled the world with her husband during their retirement years. She enjoyed cruises and visited many countries across Europe, several Caribbean and Polynesian islands and visited most states in the US including Alaska and Hawaii. Pat enjoyed spending time at yoga, reading, and especially doing crossword puzzles to stay sharp. She was a parishioner at St. Joseph’s RC Church.
She will forever be remembered by her daughters Donna Fry, Joan Hildebrand, Nancy Webb and husband Lee, and Jeanne Repage and husband Ron. Known as Grandma Pat, she was a devoted grandmother and enjoyed spending time, especially at holiday gatherings, with her seven grandchildren Shelley, Taryn, Todd, Eric, Cole, Sean, Brett and two great -grandchildren Levi and Ellis. Pat also cared for and was adored by her loyal furry companions, Emmie and Chloe. All will miss her dearly.
She is predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Francis, sisters Julia Bembenek and Alma Begosh, brother Alfred Bembenek, and parents, Anna and Andrew Bembenek.
