Born in Jersey City, he resided there for most of his life before moving to Toms River in 2003.
Prior to retiring, Alfred spent his career working as a service man for Public Service Electric & Gas in Jersey City and was a longtime member of the Brick Elks Lodge #2151. Alfred also honorably served our country in the Army National Guard.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary DeSalvo; and by his son, Alfred DeSalvo.
Surviving are his daughter, Theresa DeSalvo; his granddaughter, Gina DeSalvo Assuncao; and two great-grandchildren: Cristiano and Adriano.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 4-8PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, Berkeley at 10AM. Interment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
