December 19, 1946 – November 20, 2022
Beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away November 20th, 2022. Wayne is survived by his former Spouse Carla, children Pamela (Brent), James (Maricella), Bert (Renee), Bud (Tami), and eight grandchildren (Cody, Blake, Brilynn, Mark, Sela, Sawyer, Ayden and Sophya), Sister Sandra (Robert), nieces and nephews, as well as many extended family and longtime friends.
Wayne lived in La Puente where he met his first wife Dolores as a young man in high school. Then lived in the high desert of Southern California and retired to Washington State with Carla, wife for over 40 years. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War immediately after graduating high school. A Truck Driver by trade, he worked for several different companies hauling many different types of loads, his most memorable companies were Hills Brothers and Bulk. Driving truck was hard on the family but his goal was to provide. His greatest pleasure, which he had the most enthusiasm for, was boating and fishing. Wayne was most at peace when he was with family or friends on the water waiting for the big catch. Being a very private person and had few words, he was always welcoming to family and friends visiting. Although he seemed to be a tough man with simple life lessons like “Mean what you say, say what you mean”; “arguing will get you nowhere, be the bigger person”, “the greatest teacher is a parent, don’t waste the privilege” he loved his children and had a massive soft spot for all his grandchildren. Wayne’s love for his family is immeasurable and will be remembered as his greatest gift to all of us.
Wayne, rest in peace with your Father, Leo Taylor, Mother, Frances Taylor, and Brother, Randy Taylor, they will light your way.
The family suggests donations to Wounded Warrior Project in lieu of flowers.
Burial to take place at Riverside National Cemetery located on 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518, on April 14, 2023 at 2pm.
