Milton Boyd Simpson

Milton Boyd Simpson, 86, of Tollesboro, Kentucky died Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center. Mr. Simpson was the widow of Nancy Ruth Taulbee Simpson who died January 6, 2012. He was a retired salesman for Kerr Glass and was a veteran of the US Navy having served in the Korean War. Milton was born in Mason County, Kentucky on May 21, 1930 the son of the late Wade and Nanny Davenport Simpson. He is survived by his daughter, Karen Pitt and her husband, John of St. Louis, Missouri; his stepson, Robert W. Chittum and his wife, Cindy of Phoenix, Arizona and his sister-in-law, Mary Jo Simpson of Tollesboro, Kentucky. Besides his wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Fred Simpson, Wadsworth (Bub) Simpson, Harmon Simpson, Roger Simpson, Alma Miller and Ada Belle Gray. Funeral services for Milton B. Simpson will be held at the Foxport Baptist Church at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 28, 2017 with Rev. Harry Meadows officiating. Visitation will be held at the Barbour and Son Funeral Home on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM. The interment will be private and held at a later date.
