Emma Catherine Hord

Emma Catherine Hord, 70, of Maysville, Kentucky died Friday, November 6, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Hord was a landowner and farmer. She was born in Germantown, Kentucky on March 1, 1945 the daughter of the late Augustus and Edith Case Bauer. She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Ronald Hord; one son, Clinton Hord (Lisa) of Vanceburg, KY; one daughter, Angela Mason (Rick) of Tollesboro, KY; six grandchildren, Jason Denton, Tyler Mason, Dylan Hord, Jacob Hord, Nicholas Hord and Danielle Manship; two great grandchildren and two brothers, Augustus Bauer, Jr of Minerva, KY and Charles Bauer of Maysville, KY. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Teresa Skidmore and four brothers, Joe Bauer, Denny Bauer, Donnie Bauer and Clarence Bauer. Funeral services for Emma Hord will be held at the Barbour and Son Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 10, 2015 with Bro. David Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Garden of Memories. Pallbearers will be Jacob Hord, Jason Denton, Charles Bauer, Charles Bauer, Jr., Anthony Jolly and Rick Mason. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tyler Mason, Dylan Hord and Nicholas Hord. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
