The Lord called Ronald William “Ron” Byrd, of Sparks, MD peacefully to Heaven on Tuesday February 21, 2023. Ron was surrounded by his loving wife Chris, with family and friends by his side After graduating from Overlea High School, and serving in the US Navy aboard the SS Newport News, Ron married his high school sweetheart Chris and embarked on a 50+ year career as a talented graphic designer, working on national brands such as Corning, McCormick, CoverGirl, Crayola, Reynolds Metals, and Becton Dickinson. Ron was loved by everyone he touched. His quick wit and gentle-kindness will be missed. The son of Ray and Jeannine Byrd (both deceased), Ron is survived by wife Christine, sister Barbara Badoniec, brother Timothy Byrd, sister-in-laws Angela Folio, Grace Myers, and 14 loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc. 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Wednesday, March 8 from 10 to 12PM at which time Ronald’s life will be celebrated at the funeral home at 12PM. Interment Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed in Mr. Byrd’s memory to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, New York 10306.
