On December 15, 2012 , JEANNE WELCH, devoted wife of the late John “Jack” Welch; loving mother of John S. Welch and Mary J. Monte and her husband John; cherished grandmother of Sean, Mark, Chris and Stephanie; great grandmother of Ryan Welch. Jeanne and Jack were married on June 12, 1943 in Ft. Dix New Jersey. She graduated in 1944 with a BA in Journalism from University of Minnesota. Jeanne won a number of writing awards and was an adjunct instructor at Towson State University. She also worked for several years at Maryland Cup Company, where she continued her love for writing by composing the company’s newsletter. Jeanne was also very active in her community, participating in the Suburbanites, G.T.C.C and the Springlake Community Association.
The family will receive friends in the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc., 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Wednesday, December 19 from 3 to 5 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Joseph Church, 101 Church Lane, Cockeysville, MD on Thursday, December 20 at 10AM. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
