Margie was born in San Francisco, California to Arno and Marie Gish. Margie spent much of her life in Oregon, and graduated from Cleveland High School in 1960. In 1964 she graduated from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She later received an Occupational Therapy Assistant’s Degree in 1994. After achieving that degree she moved on to her fulfilling work as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Margie is well known and loved for her kindness and smiles that she shared with everyone she met through work, her personal life, or through her church. She loved participating in community service events through her church.
Margie enjoyed the companionship of many canine friends throughout her life. She had a deep love of nature and gardening. One of her greatest pleasures through the years was creating a wonderful yard full of plants, the local birds loved her creations in the garden. When she wasn't gardening or spending time in nature with her dogs, she could be found at home quilting and sewing.
Margie was a loving friend and a caring mother, wife, and grandma. She will be remembered for her grace and loving kindness.
