Jose Cruz Untalan

Jose Cruz Untalan, age 85, of Tigard, Oregon passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Jose was born on April 14, 1937, on the island of Yap. He spent most of his life in Guam, Tinian, and the U.S., where he joined the Navy and served for 20 years. Jose is known for his green thumb, he liked to graft trees and grow various different fruits in his yard. He also grew impressive six-foot-tall rose bushes! He is also a jokester, known for his good humor and his ukelele talents! Jose was a loving father, uncle, husband, and friend.

Jose is survived and dearly missed by his wife; five children; his brother; many nieces and nephews and his countless friends.

A visitation for Jose will be held Monday, June 27, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Young's Funeral Home, 11831 SW Pacific Highway, Tigard, OR 97223.

A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM at St. Anthony's Church, 9905 SW McKenzie Street, Tigard, OR 97223.

A committal service will occur Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt Scott Blvd, Portland, OR 97086.

A reception will occur Tuesday, June 28, 2022 following the committal service at Willamette National Cemetery, at St. Anthony's Church in Francis Hall, 9905 SW McKenzie Street, Tigard, OR 97223.
