John Rodney Deering passed away peacefully in his Hillsboro, Oregon home on October 14, 2021 at the age of 80. He was a war vet, serving in Vietnam. John mastered a wide variety of things, including electricity, plumbing, auto cad, free-hand drawing, wood carving, swimming and scuba diving. He even mastered raising three daughters! Fishing, flying, camping, hunting, motorcycles and tinkering in his shop were all things John loved doing.
John was preceded in death by his parents John and Alveria Deering, sisters Dorothy Huber and Margaret Huber and nephew Mark Huber. He leaves behind his wife of 59 years Diana, daughters Paula Bell, Greta Deering and Kimberly Deering, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren as well as nephews Jeff Huber and Gregory Huber.
Services will be held at Willamette National Cemetery at a later time
