Constance (Connie) Todd Angelas passed away on April 23, 2023, after complications from recent effects of Alzheimer’s. After a short negative turn, her illness claimed her life to the great sadness of all that knew and loved her. She had been a resident of Cedar Crest Memory Care in Tualatin, Oregon where she had been placed on hospice (Agape Hospice) care environment.
Connie was born on November 6th, 1943, in Hamilton, Ohio. Her early years were spent in Oxford, Ohio where she and her sister Beth Jones of Alexandria, Virginia. lived with their parents Herb and Fern Todd (both deceased). After High School, Connie attended Miami University in Oxford before moving to Columbus, Ohio to attend the Columbus School of Arts and Design. It was there she met the love of her life.
Connie is survived by her husband Gus Angelas and son, Christopher. Also, sister, Beth, and her husband, Edward Jones of Alexandria, Virginia. Further survivors are niece Jenny Martz of Manassas, Virginia, and her husband Jake and their three young children. Along with Jenny, Connie is survived by her nephew, Todd Jones and his wife, Bridget of Decatur, Georgia, and their 3 sons.
Connie and Gus were married in 1969 in Columbus, Ohio at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. After a move to Chicago, they were blessed with their son Christopher in 1978. They moved to Portland, Oregon where they lived for 18 years and then moved to Irvine, California for 15 years before returning to Portland in retirement.
Connie loved music (Elvis!), art, calligraphy, and her friends and family.
She was vibrant and was the most disarming and charming person one could ever meet.
A special heartfelt thanks and love for the staff and leaders at Cedar Crest Memory Care (Tualatin, Oregon) for allowing me to be picky, complaining, obtuse at times, and demanding. They weathered the storm with me and took the best care and gave the best comfort to Connie. And that goes for Agape Hospice Care (Portland, Oregon), who guided Connie and my family to a loving and comfortable caring conclusion. - Gus Angelas
