Abdul was a close friend of my father, Richard "Dick" Halley, who was also a professor at Portland State.  My father always spoke highly of Abdul and valued his friendship greatly. My condolences to the family.

I learned a lot from Abdul. He worked extremely hard for the benefit of his family and others. It was never about him. A great Man whom I will remember for ever. Thoughts and prayers for the family.
