Wendell graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1979 with a bachelor's degree in Teaching Art so he could be an art teacher. Instead of teaching Art, he found his passion fabricating and maintaining custom wheelchairs for the residents at the Colorado State Home And Training School known as Ridge Home. During his free time he enjoyed watching horror movies, going for nature walks, and thrift store shopping. He had a great sense of humor and was always making people laugh.
Wendell had three sons and ten amazing grandchildren that he loved spending time with. In most pictures you find of Wendell, you will also find a grandchild. He was also a huge animal lover and enjoyed being in nature.
Wendell is survived by his 3 loving sons: Chad Fugett, Clint Fugett, and Dustin Fugett, his 10 precious grandchildren: Harley, Tanner, Elisabeth, Braedyn, Ashton, Savannah, Lane, Jasper, Cole and Sierra, his 2 Siblings: Gregory Fugett and Melanie Hettinger, his mother Shirley Pound, as well as many other family and friends.
A Private service will take place December 17th, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Olinger Funeral, 10201 Grant St. in Thornton Colorado.
