Sandra K. Thomas

Sandy was born on December 20, 1944 in Springfield, Colorado, to Clarence and Elva Kennedy. After graduation with the Springfield Class of 1963, Sandy married the love of her life, John Thomas, on November 4, 1963, in Clayton, New Mexico. Shortly after their marriage, Sandy and John moved to the Denver area and settled in Thornton. They raised two sons, Coby (Clover, SC) and Stacy (Bennett, CO). Over the years, the family enjoyed many camping trips and family vacations.

Sandy left us for her heavenly home on July 4, 2012. She is survived by John, her husband of 49 years; sons Coby and Stacy (His wife Rose); granddaughters Mandy, Samantha and Brandi; great granddaughter Victoria; brothers Bill Kennedy (wife Verna) and Toby Kennedy (wife Joan); sisters Dee Snodgrass (husband Ray) and Lynn Hafen (husband Elwayne) along with other family members.

After her retirement from Avaya Sandy was active with the Thornton Senior Center and enjoyed scrapbooking as a hobby. Over the past year, Sandy and John enjoyed monthly brunches with Sandy's siblings and their spouses. Sandy loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her husband, children and grandchildren were the lights of her life. Sandy also loved spending time with her siblings, nieces and nephews. Sandy is loved by many and will be greatly missed by her friends and loved ones. Sandy will be remembered as a loving and beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and dear friend.
