Peggy (Barrett) Waldon, 74, passed away on June 1, 2016 in Denver, Colorado. Peggy is survived by her two daughters Kali and Krystal Waldon, 2 surviving siblings, and numerous beloved family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband David Waldon Sr.
Peggy received a Bachelor of Science Nursing degree from Marillac College and a Nurse Practitioner Certificate from the University of Colorado. She was employed as an adult nurse practitioner, and also as an area nursing coordinator in the Migrant Health Section for the Colorado Department of Health. With her education and valuable work experience, Peggy was able to help develop regulations used by today’s Hospice programs.
Peggy enjoyed various hobbies such as: making stained glass art, sewing, hiking in the mountains, the Denver Broncos, and appreciating anything that would celebrate her Irish heritage. Above all else, Peggy’s most beloved passion was her family.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial donations be made to the Margaret Ellen Waldon Children’s Trust. Donations may be sent to the attention of Clark Saenz at Saenz Financial Services located at 11811 Upham Street Unit E in Broomfield, Colorado 80020.
A memorial service is to be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Olinger Highland Mortuary Chapel located at 10201 Grant Street in Thornton, Colorado.
Peggy will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
