Peggy Bishop Hanchey, age 89, of Arvada, Colorado passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024. Peggy was born in the small farming community of Pungo, Virginia to Elbert and Sheila Bishop, the youngest of nine children. Peggy's mother and a neighbor scheduled a blind date for Peggy and that's when she met the love of her life, Brian. They married in April of 1957, and while he was in the service, lived all over including in Germany.
When Peggy wasn't moving around with her husband and children she could often be found tending to her roses and other garden flowers, both indoors and outdoors, or sewing and crafting. She was a homemaker, devoted to her children as they were growing up, but her world revolved around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents and all 8 of her siblings. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Brian; beloved children, John and Cindy; her adored grandchildren, Heather, Kendra, Charles and A.J., and her cherished grandchildren, Grace and Ryleigh.
Peggy will be laid to rest in Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado. Service details are to be determined.
