Neomi B. Garcia

Neomi B. Garcia was born September 1, 1941 in San Antonio Texas, to Cordelia and Henry Brown and was the eldest of four children. She went to be with Jesus on March 21, 2019 in Castle Rock, Colorado in the company of her children and family. She is survived by her son Michael, her daughter Norma Jean, her three granddaughters, Erika, Rebecca, Lili and many others who loved her.

Neomi shared her life with her husband Joe until his passing in October of 2016. Highschool sweethearts, the two faced the many challenges in their lives together with grace and incredible strength. They mourned the deaths of three of their children and were a shining example of unwavering faith as they pressed on.

She was someone very dear to so many. “Grammy “to her “Sweatpea”, “Mom” to her children, who are so like her. “Meem” to her “Meechee”, who were an inseparable pair. “Sis” to her sisters who shared so many fond memories. She cherished her family and friends second only to God.

While her accomplishments were many, an owner of many businesses, a wife of 56 years, a mother to 5 children, a dedicated follower of the Good Lord, it is her spirit that will be remembered. A true warrior of Christ she is home with her husband, children and her Lord.

A visitation for Neomi will be held the evening of Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service followed by a committal service will occur the following day on Thursday, March 28th beginning at 10:00 AM. All services to take place at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery located at 10201 Grant Street in Thornton, Colorado.
