Nancy was born on June 9, 1937. She was adopted upon her birth by Ward and Emma Risley, and grew up in Artesia, New Mexico. At age 15, she married her soul mate, Victor Roberts and together they lived a life full of love and happiness.
She loved her family. She spent many summers taking the grandchildren on vacation adventures. We were often blessed with a Christmas production featuring all her grandchildren. She was always attending sporting events and school productions or picking up someone to take them for an ice cream cone. She fully gave us all of her love everyday of her life.
Nancy embarked on her higher education as an adult and received a master’s degree in English. Teaching was her passion and she loved her students.
Nancy was also a beautiful writer and blessed our family with her novel “The Christmas Quilt”, which we will always treasure.
Above all, she shared her faith with all of us. She truly loved and cared for all of the people God put in her life. By loving and caring for others we saw her filled with joy.
In her Bible she wrote:
“For my Life:
• God is in control
• God has a plan – His plan is Best
• God can be trusted.”
Thank you Mom, for your passion for life, love of the Lord, and the care you had for all of us. May we follow your example of unconditional and unfaltering love for others.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Victor Ozell Roberts. She had two children: Mike Roberts (Judy), Kim Mosko (Stew), five grandchildren: Carianne Roberts, Matt Roberts, Garret Roberts, Victoria Mosko, Sophie Mosko and one great-grandchild, Jayla Oswald.
The family has invited everyone to join them at the reception at The Ranch Country Club (11887 Tejon Westminster, CO. 80234). For those who are not attending the burial, the reception will be available following the church service. Family and friends will arrive shortly after the committal. Directions will be provided.
