Martha H. Montoya

Martha Hellen (Lucero) Montoya, age 76, of Thornton, Colorado passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021. Martha was born September 16, 1945 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Manuel and Hilaria Lucero. It was on May 14, 1977 that Martha married Manuel V. Montoya in Thornton, Colorado.

Martha's proudest accomplishment in her life was raising her beloved family. Martha enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family and their Pomeranian dogs. She will always be remembered as being cheerful, loving, and friendly. Martha is survived by her beloved husband Manuel V. Montoya, her children: Celestino, Alejandro, and Hilaria Montoya; her siblings and several nieces and nephews. Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Hilaria Lucero and one sister MaryAnn.

A visitation for Martha will be held Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229. The following day Monday, December 6, 2021 at 11:00am a rosary service will take place followed by the funeral service beginning at 11:30am, also located at Olinger Highland Mortuary. Following the funeral service a committal service will take place at 1:30 PM located at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO 80235. Following the committal service the family would like to invite the guests to return to Olinger Highland Mortuary for a reception at 2:30pm.
