You're not my daughter-in-law, you're my daughter.  

Those are the words you always said to me, and when you forgot to tell me bye when you were leaving, you would tell me; It's because I don't want to say goodbye to you.  Now, we all have to find our own way to say goodbye to you. 

You weren't just a mother-in-law to me either, you were my mom.  When my mom passed, you were there for me, as always and always made sure I knew that I was loved.  From the day we met thirty-five years ago, you never made me feel like an outsider; you accepted me and made me family. My parents always took me to church, and taught me right from wrong, and raised me with good moral values, but you (and dad), taught me a lot as well, not by instruction, but by example.  Besides teaching me to make your wonderful recipes, I learned unconditional love, the importance of always making others feel welcome in your home, a tremendously strong sense of family, and to keep fighting no matter what life throws at you. 

I hope you know how much you meant to me, Eli, our kids, and grandkids; you were the center of our family.  You were also an amazing, caring, funny, loving, and wonderful mom and friend; I just wish I had thought to tell you that while you were still with us.

Linda was more than an amazing woman; she was mother & grandmother to all. I had the privilege to grow up in the Salaz's home starting from birth. It was many years into childhood when I realized Linda and Pete were my neighbors not my grandparents. As the years passed, we moved. But never lost contact with Debby, & her children whom grew into life long friends. The smell of tamales will always bring your smiling face to memory. Your kitchen table was the most magical spot to play. Many of us shared special moments in our lives with you. Linda choose everyone of us to love. With my deepest condolences to all. Granny was a Saint. Her love will live on in your hearts. May you lay down today in Gods hand and our tears carry you to heavens gate. God Bless Linda.

You had the best smile and laugh and sense of humor. I grieve because you are gone from this earth but I am over joyed to know that you are smiling and laughing in heaven right now! You are in our hearts forever!!

The Estrada family has very fond memories of Linda and her family.  She was a special person who was funny, compassionate, and fun to be around.  Her smile was contagious.  She was a gentle soul who was  kind to everyone.  She touched many lives in such positive ways. I will always remember her with a smile on my face.  Rest in peace Linda your journey on this earth is done and your journey in heaven has just begun. I pray that God comfort all your children and grandchildren during this time. So very sorry about the passing of your mother/grandmother/great grandmother. Please know that my prayers are for God to comfort you at this time, and give you strength in Him.

We grew up with this beautiful family thinking we were all related. My Daddy and Mama (Leo and Martha) were best friends with Uncle Pete and Aunt Linda. What irreplaceable memories.  I looked so forward to hugging her when my husband and I would visit Rios de Aqua Viva Church. You will be missed; but we will see you again!!! Prayers for Daryl, Debby, Victor and Eli. We love you all!!!

Linda (Grandma) was a very special soul. A kind, genuine and pure hearted woman.  I have never met anyone quite like her.  I am so blessed to have known her. She showed me so much love, she just loved everyone.  She taught me a lot of things by her exampleship and made a great impact on my life. She would always tell me not to forget about her,  I never did and never will.

We are so very sorry about Auntie Linda's passing.  She was a truly special person, full of love and energy and we loved her dearly.  We will always remember Auntie fondly and with love.  Our sincere condolences to the rest of the family.  All our love, Bobby and Bea Guerrero
