Kenneth was born in Denver April 10, 1985, to parents Kenneth Burrell Woods, Sr. and Kimberly Thomas; he was the first of three children: sister, Brittany Woods Gooley and brother, Leslie Gooley, Trismegistus both of Denver. Kenneth was the father of one daughter, Aniya Marie Rose, of Kansas City, MO that he shared with his former spouse, Erica Rose of Kansas City, MO.
Kenneth was a very bright, fun loving child, he loved to perform "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep" for his family and friends at only 4 years old. He received many certificates for his great achievements in elementary through high school that included Optimist Alpha Club of Palmer Elementary school on January 24, 1996. He was a Mile High Scholar in 1999; Certificate of participation in the Shakespeare Festival on May 7, 1999; Certificate of Participation on The Debate team given June 4, 1999; Achievement in Music, June 7, 1999; Arts Street Certificate of completion, August 13, 1999 as a major contributor to the "The Soft Mural Project"; Certificate of Merit for an achievement in Art, June 1, 1998; Certificate of Participation Citywide middle school choir; Optimist Alpha Club of Palmer Elementary school on January 24, 1996; East High School Vocal Music Award 2000-2001; Certificate of graduation " The Dream Walk Program Inc." January 2001; Outstanding Sophomore, Class of 2003 East High School; Certificate of Achievement for Black Student Alliance April 29, 2003; Rapture Missionary Baptist Church certificate of appreciation in the area choir February 21, 2004; He received a diploma from The American Legion Colorado Boys State and Deed of Liberation awarded to Kenny ' Babatunde' Woods Rode and survived the underground Railroad to Freedom and Liberation presented by AAFANTE.
He attended The Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO after High School where he studied Journalism and Music; Gospel Ensemble. He was Colorado State Board Certified in October 2021 from New Beginnings Nursing Program Kenneth than was an Office Manager for The Hope Center Vocational Program under Gerie Grimes for 2 years.
Kenneth will be remembered for his remarkable talents and his love for Art, Poetry and Music and his creative mind. He was a very kind, caring and supportive to all that knew him, he was a giver of his time.
His nephews Jamir and Josiah will remember him by the time spent and the unforgettable memories he leaves behind. He loved and adored La Donna as his mother in Kansas City.
Singing and performing is how he met his closest friends Christopher Tye; Mikey, Louis, Deautre Grant and Lala from Kansas City, MO, Cece from Indiana, Samantha from Jefferson City, Mo. His truth and communication of love messages is what they will dearly miss, they will always remember the long car rides and talks they once shared, the singing karaoke and telegrams and performing their favorite music together.
He will be greatly missed by everyone and anyone that ever had the honor to meet Kenneth.
One of his favorite scriptures was Philippians 4:13 " I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me". One of his favorite songs by Donnie Hathaway " A Song For You" saying; I am a communicator of love messages. A poem by Maya Angelou "If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be.
