Kenneth Herbert Westberg

Kenneth Herbert Westberg age 79 passed away peacefully on December 1st, 2022, at his home in Westminster, Colorado. He was born August 11, 1943 in Ogden, Utah to Herbert Emanuel Westberg and Frances Delores Thompson. He was the oldest of five siblings: Verna, Diane, Judy and Von. He Married Marlene Dorothy Cole in 1964 and together they had three children: Eric, Holly and Brooke. Ken remarried Joanne

Schmuck in 1987 which added two wonderful step children: Debbie and Jeff, to the family.

Ken graduated from Ogden High School and completed his bachelor’s degree in economics at Weber State College and began his long career working for the US government at Hill AFB in Clearfield, Utah transferring his young family soon after to Lowery AFB in Denver. He excelled at his career as a computer systems analyst and at the height of his career he was offered the opportunity to take his family overseas and worked at NATO Headquarters at Ramstein, Germany where he met his future wife Jo. Ken returned from Germany married Jo and retired as a GS-14 . For the remaining years Ken could be found enjoying his beloved game of golf with his wife Jo and his many friends, enjoying morning breakfasts with his pals, watching old western movies, strumming his Yamaha guitar and eating warm slices of homemade bread.

A memorial service will be held at Olinger Mortuary and Cemetery – 10201 Grant St. Thornton, Co 80229. Service will be on Monday the 12th of December at 1 pm. Please join us in remembering Ken.
