Karen Dee Sack, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2022 in Colorado. She was born on January 4, 1938 in Burley, Idaho to the late William and Elizabeth Schafer.
Karen grew up and attended schools in Burley, Idaho. She graduated from Burley High School in 1956. After graduation she married the love of her life Raymond Sack, and they were blessed with four children. They moved to Westminster, Colorado in January of 1966 where they raised their family. Karen held various jobs as a purchasing agent and office manager. She also fulfilled a dream of owning her own business which was a Square Dance apparel shop. Karen and Ray spent many nights square dancing with their friends and family. After retiring she joined her son to help run his sign company.
Family was extremely important in her life. Karen always made holidays and birthdays special and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. You could always find her in attendance at the grandchildren's athletic events, dance recitals, school activities, and special events.
Karen is survived by her beloved husband Raymond Sack; Loving Children, Brenda (Steve) White of Orlando, FL, William (Dana) Sack of Westminster, CO, Kaylene (Leon) Baber of Brighton, CO, Bryon (Kimberly) Sack of Westminster, CO; Precious Grandchildren, Kimberly (Tadd), Karen, Steven (Laurena), Loren, Taylor, Kylie, Heath, Auston, Kara, Conor; and Great Grandchildren, Gabriella, Kaden, Oliver, Lillian, and Robert. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elizabeth Schafer; Three sisters, Dorothy Schafer-Uffleman, Mary Lou Schafer-Metcalf, Leona Elizabeth Schafer; Three brothers, William Schafer, Derald Schafer, Thomas Schafer; and one great grandchild, Avery.
Visitation/viewing will take place Monday March 21, 2022 from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229. Celebration of Life service will be Tuesday March 22, 2022, 12:00 noon at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 3960 E 128th Ave, Thornton, CO 80241. Interment to follow at Ft Logan National Cemetery, staging area C at 2:15 pm.
