Jordan Taylor Sprouse, 18, of Wheat Ridge, was killed May 2 2014, due to a drunk driver. He was born on May 26th 1995 in Louisville Colorado, the son of Jamie Sprouse and Jessica Ackerman, step moms Caroline (Frenchie) Bissonnier and Shelley Sweet. He attended high school in Lakewood and was due to graduate this May 2014. Jordan is survived by his parents, and his sister Morgan Sprouse, with soon to be sister (Lilly) due on Jordan's birthday May 26th. He also leaves behind grandparents Bob Ackerman, Billie Ackerman, Terry Gilliespie, Dawn and Donald Sprouse. He also leaves behind his dear friends which were vast, as well as many uncles and cousins, and second cousins.
Jordan was a tremendously talented poet. It extended to his gift for music, which was predominantly rap. His gift of rhyme and the cleverness behind it was jaw dropping in it's depth. He was 100% a person that stood up for the underdog in every situation. It showed through with his musical lyrics, his friends, his defiance towards bullying, social stigmas, and flat out social discrimination! And it was best exemplified in the out pouring support at his vigils that seem to be a nightly occurrence.
Lyrics by Jordan Sprouse:
"What stands before me, a crazy future.
The past's behind me, I'm throwin my deuce up
I gotta be a winner, can't stay a loser.
Say I can't do it, your just a false accuser.
Humble like Budha, experiencing lots of new stuff.
I remain like Iron man even when I'm bruised up
Here comes the new stuff, is this all too rough?"
Journal by Jordan Sprouse:
"Being independent is something one may find rare amongst people these days. I see lots of followers and weakness. Most just may not understand how empowering it feels to rely on yourself in tough situations. I have many friends, but very few close ones. But I don't feel alone, nor do I have much fear of it. One shouldn't fear having no friends as much as they should fear dying without any loved ones to miss them".
In loving memory of Jordan, donations may be made to the Sprouse family. Please visit any Wells Fargo location and mention the account for "Jordan Taylor Sprouse Memorial Fund"
