John grew up in Toronto and moved to Buffalo, NY during childhood. He graduated from Grover Cleveland High School and entered into the United States Marine Corps in 1966. He served three years and was honorably discharged. He married Antionette in 1969. They moved to California together where he attended the College of San Mateo and received an Associate’s Degree in Arts. He continued his education with San Jose State University and transferred to University of Buffalo where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
John retired in 2010 from work as a Human Resource Manager.
John’s family meant the world to him. He also enjoyed growing tomatoes, fishing, playing cribbage and euchre, handiwork, the arts, good food, deep questions, golf, and volunteering for FORG (Friends of Retired Greyhounds). He was a good man.
John is survived by his devoted wife Antoinette, loving daughter Dr. Shandra Brown (Seth) Levey, precious granddaughters Flora Levey and Talia Levey, siblings Richard (Geri) Brown, Melody (Robert) Wojcik, Michelle (Fred) Damerow, Terry Brown and Nicholas (Cheryl) Brown.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brothers Jim and Randy.

Recitation of the Rosary will be at 10:30am, Wednesday, May 8, 2024 followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM. Both will be at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 178 S. 6th Avenue, Brighton, CO 80601.
