Jessica Danielle "Jess" Woody, a cherished resident of Greeley, Colorado, tragically passed away in Brighton on September 5, 2024, at the age of 32 due to injuries sustained in a traffic accident. Born on August 4, 1992, in Denver, Colorado, to Kenneth Lee Minjarez and Angela Lucy Trujillo, Jessica's life was marked by love, dedication, and vibrant personal passions.
Growing up in the Thornton area, Jess attended Lifeskills Center and furthered her education by studying Cosmetology at Empire Beauty College. Her career was diverse, but her deepest joy came from being a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She married her soulmate, Michael Joseph Woody, in Denver on December 28, 2009. Together, they were blessed with three wonderful children: Laylah Vandrea Woody, Arianna Thalia Woody, and Emiliano Bryson Woody.
Jess' spirit was characterized by her selflessness and caring nature. She had an immense heart, always expressing her love and concern for others. Her passions included collecting NIKE tennis shoes, adoring turtles, and embracing her role as a true fashionista with impeccable style. Jess was known for her perfectly styled hair and makeup, her love for clothes, shoes, and makeup, and her frequent visits to ULTA and Sephora.
Dedicated to staying fit, Jess was never without her water bottle and celebrated each birthday with a new tattoo, each a testament to her individuality and passion for self-expression. Her favorite sports teams were the Las Vegas Raiders and the Los Angeles Dodgers, and she dreamed of one day traveling to New York City. She had a particular fondness for Dutch Bros coffee, chocolate, Hot Cheetos, Dynamita Doritos, and Turbo Flamas Corn Snacks.
Jess is survived by her beloved husband, Michael and adoring children, Laylah , Arianna and Emiliano, all of Greeley, Colorado; mother and stepfather, Angela and Pedro Ventura of Commerce City; father, Kenneth Minjarez of Aurora; sisters, Savannah Behanna and Annalisa Ventura, both of Commerce City, Mela Minjarez of San Antonio, Texas, brother, Aaron Minjarez, of Brighton; grandparents, Christine Trujillo of Arvada and Louis Trujillo of Wheat Ridge, Henry Monet of San Antonio; mother-in-law, Helen Anastos of Platteville, CO; sister-in-law, Fenix and brother-in-law, Teddy Woody, both of Platteville; her dear nieces and nephews, Amila Behanna of Commerce City, Whiskie Quintana of Platteville, Julian Minjarez of Brighton and a host of friends.
