He is preceded in death by his father Clyde Terry, his mother Mayme Mitchell, his brother Bob Terry, his son Earl Terry, and his grandson Matt Terry.
He is survived by his wife Jeannette "Jeanie" Terry, his sons Jay D Terry Jr (Karen) and Paul Vigil (Laura), his daughter Sherry Fitzgerald (John), and his sister Betty Wilson (Don), as well as several grandsons and granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Lung Society or American Cancer Society.
A memorial service for Jay will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229.
A private burial will follow at a later date.
