Jane Mary (Atencio) Gregory passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023 at home in Thornton, Colorado. Jane will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother to all that knew and loved her.
Jane was born on September 5, 1948 in Parkview, New Mexico to Frank Atencio and Jose Vailpando. Jane married her loving husband, William Gregory, on December 5, 1969 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She attended Antonito High School in Antonito, Colorado. Throughout her life, Jane held various jobs in factories, daycares and homecare centers for the elderly.
Jane is survived by her husband of 54 years, William Gregory; sons, Johnathan Gregory and Keith Atencio; grandchildren, Jordin Martinez, Jadin Gregory and Jess Gregory of Thornton, CO, Amadeus Bergman and Travis Bergman of Firestone, CO, Icaaic Atencio, Izrael Paxton, and Izabella Atencio of Keenesburg, CO, Amelia Hood, Mercedes Espinoza, Kasandra Guerra of Thornton, CO, and Kaedin and Skylah Swansfeger. She is preceded in death by her son, Frank Gregory in 1994; and daughter, Desere Atencio Bergman.
A visitation for Jane will be held Monday, February 20, 2023 from 4-6pm followed by a rosary at 6:00pm at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229.
A funeral service will occur Tuesday, February 21, 2023, 11:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn, CO 80233. A graveside service will follow at 1:00pm at Olinger Highland Cemetery, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229.
