Edwin "Ed" Max Taylor

Edwin “Ed” Taylor, 81, of Thornton, CO passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017, in Boulder, CO. He was born on a farm in Concordia, KS on May 9, 1935 (3 weeks after “Black Sunday”, the worst dust storm of the 1930’s). He followed in his Father’s footsteps in the masonry trades, returned to college and graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University. Ed worked for many years in the Human Resources profession. Prior to retirement Ed worked as Associate Vice President for Human Resources, Community Colleges of Colorado. Ed is survived by his spouse, Carol Ann, of almost 19 years. Loving Dad to Bret (Gae) Taylor of Ft. Worth, TX., Bart (AJ) Taylor of Castle Rock, CO., Jeffry (Jocelyn) Taylor of Colorado Springs, CO. Loving stepfather to Steven (Ranae) Martin of Arvada, CO, Amy (Dean) Italiano of Thornton, CO , and Timothy (Brandy) Martin of Thornton, CO. Grandpa to Jesse, Lindsey, Jared, Jennifer, Adam, Elijah, Tyler, Ryan, Samantha and Anamaria. Great-grandpa of three. He leaves behind three brothers and their families and one sister. His parents and sister, Nola, preceded him in death.
