Donna is survived by her husband, Gene Hartley; son Tim Hartley; son Todd Hartley; and daughter-in-law Susan Hartley; sister Diane Quarantino; grandchild TJ Hartley, grandchild Beau Hartley and grandchild Bella Hartley; and several nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her daughter Gina Hartley, grandson Cameron Hartley and sister Darlene Carrington.
Donna and Gene's 61 year wedding anniversary is September 25, 2018. They were married in Denver after only seven dates! Gene's memory of their first date is Donna running faster than him all over Lookout Mountain. Donna and Gene shared many adventures over those 61 years, including their first year of marriage living in Antigua West Indies. Donna was quite an athlete and loved to run, ride bicycles, ski and spend time outdoors. She was an avid gardener, cook, and seamstress. Donna travelled to many countries including Portugal, Italy, Germany, Ireland, France, Costa Rica and Russia. Donna loved her family and was always using her creativity to make life fun for them. She would organize family plays at Christmas time, make crafts, take them skiing, and bake special treats. We will always remember the "Lamb Cake" she made at Easter time.
Donna also has many lifelong friends from her "travelling" tennis club, and the Veraldi Vultures Cycling Club. Their motto was "We ride to eat". Her friends will miss her dearly.
A recitation of the rosary for Donna will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Saint Dominic Catholic Church, 2905 Federal Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80211. A mass of christian burial will follow at 10:30 AM. The reception will take place at the church immediately following services.
