I worked with Dave for about 5 years at OneRain (DIAD)...around 2000-2005.  Dave was my right hand man in the field and was as dependable as...well, as dependable as his hankering to fish....every, every weekend.  Dave was smart as a whip and I always appreciated his sense of humor, too.  After I left OneRain, we kept in touch, primarily through email "funnies"...I always knew when I got one from Dave, I'd be in for a laugh!

Cherie (my wife) and I would like to send our deepest condolences and sympathies to Dave's Family and his Wife & Soulmate, Pokey.  Dave and Pokey visited us September 25, 2010 during their swing through Southwest Colorado.  It was so grand to see them!  Dave and Pokey loved the fall colors, and I remember Dave was always so enthused about taking the annual "Fall Tour" to the Telluride area with Pokey.

I write these remembrances with great shock and sadness, as I just discovered a few minutes ago about Dave's passing.

Lastly, I will never forget what Dave often said about Pokey (from a famous film, tongue in cheek, of course)---"She Who Must Be Obeyed"!!

Dave....I remember you so well.  You taught me so much in QA at Ball.  We had a lot of fun working together, you even tried to toughen me up some.  Seemed like you were always going fishing or hunting.

Godspeed Dave - In celebration of your life - a story.  You were an avid fisherman and Gail and I were reminiscing about the time you offered to drop off some trash fish for our flower garden (we lived in Boulder at the time).   You showed up with a 3 foot long carp!  It took an hour to bury that damn fish and we had the best garden on the block!
