William John Munro

Born in Sydney, Australia, in 1937 to William Henry and Helen Mae, William John Munro (Bill) was raised alongside his younger sister, Pamela. In the late 60s, he took a long-service leave and joined his friends on a working holiday in Toronto. While here, he met and married his beloved wife, Ann, in January 1971. Bill became a loving father to their four sons, David, Stuart, Patrick, and Christopher. He will be missed by his wife and sons; his daughters-in-law, Janice and Nadia; his granddaughter, Ryleigh; Pam and Frank and their children and families; Patricia and the late Peter and their daughters and families; as well as friends and former colleagues. Bill died on August 8, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. The family would like to offer their thanks to the staff at Thompson House in Toronto for the dedicated care, affection, and respect they gave to Bill in his final years.
