Peacefully with his family by his side in his 73rd year Brad passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Sunnybrook Hospital. Loving husband of Zandra and proud and loving father of Bryan and his wife Cheryl and of Jamie, He was the biggest supporter and loving Poppa to his grandsons Matthew and Cameron. Predeceased by his parents Bill and Jen Dix. Brad was a long time employee of the CBC. A member of the Board of Directors of the Junior Board of Trade - Toronto Jaycees as Director of Arrangements. He was Senator number 24496 of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, Member of the Board of Directors of The Second Mile Club of Toronto and active member of Jubilee United Church. Brad enjoyed many memorable summers with family and friends at Plum Point, Orillia. The family would like to thank the medical and nursing staff on C6 for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street, Toronto (at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 15th at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10 a.m. at Jubilee United Church, 40 Underhill Drive, Toronto. Interment York Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would request that donations may be made to Jubilee United Church, Cystic Fibrosis Canada or a charity of your choice.
