Valerie Millar passed away on December 9th, 2022 surrounded by her children after a battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was 66 years old. Valerie is survived by her children Adam (Sheena) and Karen, and her grandchildren Jayden, Sawyer and Trey. Loving daughter to Raymond (Dagmar), sister to Douglas (Kathy), Barbara (the late Bruce) and David (Tracey). Valerie was an avid card player, enjoyed travelling with friends, playing bingo and spending time with her grandsons.
The family will be holding a memorial wake at 41 Rathfon Crescent in Richmond Hill on Saturday December 17th, 2022. Friends may drop in to share memories between 1 – 5pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (directed to Breast Cancer Research) or to Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. Valerie’s ashes will be scattered at a future date.
