Suddenly, on Friday August 18th, 2006 at North York General Hospital, in her 76th year. Beloved wife of the late Edward Murphy (1979). Loving mother to Paul, Colleen (Keith), and Matthew (Michelle). Cherished Gramma to Julia, Nicole, and Honora. Survived by her dear brother Ivan ?Hippo? (Lil), sisters-in-law Cathie, Beverly and predeceased by her brothers Bernard and D?Arcy and sister Iris. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, family and friends. Friends may call on Monday, August 21st, from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday August 22nd, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Church of the Good Shepherd Catholic Parish, (21 Simonston Blvd), on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
