I have to echo  what brother Greg Mannion wrote on behalf of the entire Mannion family .  It was always ‘Mr. Foss’ and Mother’s decades with him and the family and the organization brought great joy and a sense of purpose and meaning to Helen Mannion’s life over those 40 plus years.  We will always be grateful - as she was.  She made many life long friends in her years there and cherished them to the end - each one of those special relationships. She and we - were blessed to have her life intersected by this tremendous titan of business and the auto industry.   They were trusted friends - which as we know does not happen often.  We remain ever grateful to the entire Foss family and feel fortunate to be able to call them among our trusted friends going forward.  There can be no greater legacy.  Great caring , gratitude and love to you ‘Mr. Foss’ - RIP today with many of your beloved cronies who flew on just prior to you.  I can just imagine the coffee klatch get together from above. I first met Roy in 1997–he was having difficulty with one of his non-GM manufacturers—and it was the start of a long friendship—he became a client of mine and I of Roy Foss Motors—he was once so eager to put me into an Escalade that he had one delivered to my house that still had Karen “s children's’ toys in it! He was a force—a larger than life person in so many ways—I enjoyed every moment I spent with him—and particularly enjoyed watching his duet with Petula Clark at his oh so memorable birthday party—-he was a generous philanthropist as well as a great “car guy”—-just a great Canadian—rest in peace.

The Cowie family had the privilege in our early years to grow up beside the Foss home on Almond Avenue  in Thornhill Ontario.

 Mr and Mrs Foss were the nicest,  warmest and kindest people and neighbour any family could hope for . We were 5 loud young boys ... and they put up with  all of us ... with grace and kindness. He proudly showed off many new beautiful GM car models he brought home.... let us sit in them and pretend to drive. 

Mr Foss was a Class Act .... along with his entire family. We were lucky to grow and learn from this wonderful man and his entire  family. 

We will miss you Mr Foss.
