Mary Staffer

On Monday, September 10, 2007 at Carefree Lodge Nursing Home, Mary peacefully went to sleep forever while in her husband's arms. Mary was born on March 4, 1922 in Rimoc, Hungary. Beloved wife of Charles P. Staffer for 55 years. Loving mother of Andrew (Sandra) of California and Paul. She was a devoted grandmother of Justin, Spencer, Sabrina and Jasmin. In Hungary she is survived by her sister Terezia, her brother Father Vincent Arva, O.S.P., and her nieces Jutka, Kristina (George), as well as many relatives in her hometown of Rimoc. She was also a loving sister to the late Vincent Kiss. Mary will be sadly missed by her longtime friend Adrienne, and also her many friends and colleagues. Mary had excelled in Real Estate for over 30 years. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the caregivers at Carefree Lodge for all their help and understanding. Friends may call on Monday, September 17, 2007 from 2-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Pleasant Mausoleum Chapel (375 Mount Pleasant Road). Entombment to follow at Mount Pleasant Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations to Carefree Lodge would be appreciated by the family.
