Joseph Pigeon

Was taken home peacefully to God's heavenly kingdom on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the age 86. Joseph (Rudy, Pete) leaves behind his wife Mary. Loving father to daughters Patricia (Glenn) Christie, Katherine Pigeon, and Gail Pigeon. Predeceased by son Steven Sr. Loving Gramps/Grandpa to Christopher (Virginia) Thibodeau, Steven Jr. (Candice) Pigeon, and William Pigeon. Loving great-grandpa to Jonathan and Nicholas Thibodeau and Angel Pigeon. He leaves behind sisters Theresa (Ray) Taylor of Timmins, and Anne Gentles of Fort Erie. Predeceased by sisters Lillian, Alice, and Betty and brothers Fermin and Albert Pigeon. Rudy/Uncle Pete will be missed by his many nieces and nephews and friends he made over the years. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paschal Baylon Church(92 Steeles Avenue West, 905-889-9021). Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Hill House Hospice would be appreciated. Special thank you to all the staff at Hill House Hospice for their compassion and loving care they provided to our father.
