I was not a close friend of Tim, but did know him for a long time, first at King's College, then as a neighbour and fellow parishioner in Willowdale, and over the last few years I seemed to regularly run into him in downtown Toronto.  We always stopped and talked for a few minutes.  Tim had a rare and special gift of staying with you after a departure, and leaving you with the lasting impression that our future, and that of our children, was one of promise.  He will be greatly missed.

I had only been in the payments industry a few years when Tim joined us at Mastercard. He became a good friend and a mentor to me, always willing to spend the time to teach, coach, and talk. He was always so proud of his family, and, as our kids were similar age, family with its joys and challenges were a constant in our conversations. Tim was a man of faith in God and we had many good conversations encouraging each other.

I will miss Tim. His wisdom, candor, and humility made him a great co-worker and friend.

I am so very very sorry to hear about your husband’s and dad’s passing. From what I remember from my St. Gabe’s days, he was a very loving and supportive husband and father. Whenever we met at school and during parent-teacher interviews he always had a big smile on his face when he spoke about his family and a witty comment or two. May your many memories keep his spirit and his love in your hearts forever. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I am out of the country right now and apologize for not being able to attend his visitation or mass. May he rest in eternal peace.

Our most deepest and sincere condolences to the Hourigan clan. I am and will always miss my dear friend Tim. We all had so many precious moments of fun, pranks and laughter at the "King and U". He had such a big heart and warm smile. He was such a very conscientious guy, with a pure heart and soul. As I write this I remember our Friday evenings, going to the LCBO and always picking a different beer to try. Fun times were always had with Tim around, even when the Mustangs lost a game. I will miss you my dear friend and will always cherish our friendship. Earth's loss is now Heavens gain. Rest in Peace, precious prince, Rest in Peace. One Love from L&L to you, your family.

We did not know Tim very well, but in our few social meetings we were taken by his open, warm, friendly way.  From all our mutual friends we have heard how wonderful he was and it's our loss that we will not know him better.

Gary and are are so sorry to hear about Tim’s passing.  I will always remember all the Hourigan brothers including Tim arriving for dinner on Sunday night when the “Six Pack” lived on Piccadilly in London at University.  Tim was  always a positive, helpful person.  He will be missed.

Tim. We will miss our days in Hilton Head, riding bikes on the beach, happy hour overlooking the lagoon and midnight walks on the beach. We will miss our talks about politics and the state of the world. So many wonderful memories of Tim! Cooking because Teresa let him, serving amazing wine, always a smile on his face! He was always so patient with our 'friend' get togethers at 217 Kingsdale! Putting up with our incessant chatter while he fed us and filled our glasses! The only thing that could make Tim smile any more was talking about his two beautiful daughters and later his grand daughter. The world is a better place because of Tim and we can hardly afford to lose men of his spirit and character. Meghan and Kaitlyn, please know that your Mom's tribe is here for her and for the two of you. What a legacy to leave in this world when the first thing that people say is that 'Tim was a kind man'. I feel privileged for having known him. Heartbreaking to hear of Tim’s passing.  He was such a wonderful man, kind, funny and such a loyal family man.  He loved his wine, cooking, travel, etc.  
Loved being around such a positive person.  Rest In Peace Tim.

We have met Tim and Teresa many times over the years and last year enjoyed a lovely day with them and John and Rose in Barcelona.  Tim was a kind, gentle and funny guy and we will fondly remember him when we think of that day. Tim and I worked together at Mastercard and sat beside one another his last year there.  I always enjoyed Tim's sense of humour (we laughed alot), his analytic outlook on the world and, especially, his sarcastic wit.  Most of all I remember the big smile that stretched his cheeks to the limit.  What a genuinely nice man...

Having known Tim for many years at the cottage he will be deeply missed. He was always smiling and very positive in his many conversations. My deepest sympathies to his dear Theresa and family this world has lost a wonderful man.
