John Cowie

Beloved husband of Eva and loving father of Barbara and Rob (Holly). Proud grandfather of Christopher, Alexandra, Brooke and Taylor. He will be greatly missed by his sister-in-laws Vera and Gina.

Jack immigrated to Canada from Aberdeen, Scotland in 1957 and fell in love with his adopted country. He especially enjoyed boating and water skiing at the cottage in Muskoka.

A special thanks to the staff at the NYGH for the great care they provided.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 10 to 11 am at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Celebration of Life will follow in the R.S. Kane Chapel at 11 am. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North York General Hospital - Palliative Care.
