Joan Aileen Reid

May 21, 1927 – May 23, 2016

Passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend Vincent Paul Reid, II. Loving mother of Rosemary Wilcox (Bill), Barbara Reid, Mary Anne Peek (Greg), Margaret Broad (Roger), Vincent Reid (Caroline), John Reid (Lori) and Janet Reid Interisano (Stephen). Much loved Grandma to 11 grandchildren, Meredith, Andrew, Kate, Jennifer, Sarah, Kelly, Geoff, Hayley, Jeff, Lyndsay, Jessica, and two great grandsons, Owen and Price. Predeceased by her dear sister Margaret Seitz, parents Anne Maloney (Downey) and Larkin Maloney, and step-mother Rita Maloney (O’Brien).

A special thanks to all the staff at Sunrise of Aurora for the loving companionship and care provided.

Friends may call at R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding south of Steeles), on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 2-6 p.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Grace Church (15347 Yonge St., Aurora) on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. A private interment will take place at a later date.
