Don passed away on September 16, 2008 at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto. He was born in New Carlisle, Quebec, the eldest son of James Franklin and Annie Ellen (Ward) Flowers. He is survived by his sisters Leila, Marion, Evelyn and Catherine and his brothers Carl, Gary and Clair. He will be sadly missed by his long-time partner Murray and by his special friend Deborah. Don was a kind and loving person who sought to make life better for those he touched. Friends may call on Friday, September 19, 2008 from 12 noon at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Urn interment to take place at a later date in New Carlisle, Quebec. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Andrews Anglican Church Memorial Fund, New Carlisle, Quebec.
