Cecilia Ramlochan

Cecilia Ramlochan, widow of Steve Ramlochan, was born March 3, 1940 in San Fernando, Trinidad and passed away on December 13, 2015 in Toronto, Canada. She was 75 years old and lived a full life, enjoying good health nearly all her life. Cecilia is survived by her two sons, Wade and Emile; her daughter, Janine; and a large extended family and many friends.

In recent years, Cecilia retired from her long, successful career (40+ years) as a supply teacher with the TDSB. She also taught children in Sunday School for 33 years at The Peoples Church. Prior to immigrating to Canada in the mid-1960s, she taught at Kanhai Road Presbyterian School, Barrackpore, Trinidad. As a teacher, Cecilia will be fondly remembered as a thoughtful, thorough and patient teacher of young children.

Our family has lost a special member whose strength, determination and independence will continue to be an inspiration to us all. She demanded the best of herself and encouraged others to be ambitious, keep trying and attempt big things in life. We would like to thank the caregivers, friends and family for their love and support over the years.
