Barbara Anne Wesley

Barbara Anne Wesley (06/04/1947 – 12/14/2022), after a short illness, surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her loving partner and husband of fifty-five years, Richard Hardy, and her beloved brother Paul and his wife, Shannon. She will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, and many friends. Predeceased by her parents, Ken and Mildred. Born in Toronto, Barb met a young Welsh man, Rick Hardy, in 1967, and from that moment, they were inseparable. They started their life together in downtown Toronto and eventually made their way to Thornhill in the 1970s. Barb was a warm and wonderful person who always made the people around her feel at ease and welcomed everyone into her life with her easy laugh and wonderful stories. When Barb retired after many years of commuting from Thornhill to Toronto, she spent her time redecorating the beautiful home she shared with Rick, and they traveled the world together on cruises to Alaska, the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, and both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Barb discovered a love for creating beautiful handcrafted cards, and her family and friends always looked forward to special occasions when they would receive one of Barb’s original creations. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A celebration of life will be arranged in the new year. Many thanks to the caring team of doctors and nurses at McKenzie Health.
