He was born in Guilford County, NC on December 26, 1945, to the late Mr. and Mrs. William Earl Grant.
Bill served in the U.S. Navy. Following his military service, he worked at Henredon of High Point for 35 plus years. Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman. His greatest joy in life was being a loving husband, father and pawpaw.
Surviving is his wife, Daisy Ann Grant; his two children Cheryl Whitaker (Johnny) of Thomasville, Travis Grant (April) of Trinity; four grandchildren Greg Whitaker of Thomasville, Tera Whitaker (Zack Staley) of Lexington, Bri Turner (Brian) of Clemmons, Sebastian Grant of Lexington; three great grandchildren. Siblings James Grant, Wanda McMahan, Phyllis Roger, Connetha Womack, Debbie Hoffman, Carnel Walker and Ruth “Pless” Rizzie. In addition to his parents, his sister Connie preceded him in death.
A graveside service will be held at 9:00am on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Salisbury National Cemetery - Annex, 501 Statesville Rd., Salisbury, NC, with Rev. Tommy Kidd officiating.
